Clear Your Clutter with Feng Shui
By Karen Kingston
Simple, easy to follow plan for clearing clutter from all areas of your life, and why it is important to your energy and spirit to do so. Not really that much about feng shui—except that clutter is bad for your feng shui, no matter where it is hidden.
How to Conquer Clutter
By Stephanie Culp
This is a classic and has a big section called Clutter From A to Z which is a great reference for trying to attack your clutter one section at a time.
Getting Things Done
By David Allen
This is the most direct, honest and easy to follow productivity guide I have ever read. It doesn’t make big promises, but simply shows you how what you are already doing can be tweaked just slightly to give you exponentially more productivity and peace of mind. Highly recommended.
The Clutter Cure
By Judi Culbertson
Excellent book for learning about why we have emotional attachments to things and how to get used to the idea of letting things go. It also has a good discussion of why we feel we need to buy and hang on to things we don’t need in order to have happy, fulfilled lives. I highly recommend reading this book if you want a whole makeover for your house or one particular room as she has great visualization exercises and tips for creating your ideal space.
Taming the Paper Tiger At Home
By Barbara Hemphill
Wonderful resource for tackling any filing system or paperwork organization. She gives very clear directions about what to keep and what to toss, and how to keep paperwork in such a way that you can find what you are looking for easily.
